Junior Cricket - U12 through to Open (school) age

The Lakes Cricket Club fields teams from Under 10 to Open (15 year olds and over at school) in the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association (BNJCA)

Competition Descriptions

Registration Fees

Under 10 & 11

Under 10 & 11 will play T20 format games over a 2 hour period on a Saturday morning starting at either 7.15am (Under 10) or 9.45am (Under 11) with a 15 minute break between innings.


Under 12 to Open

Players in Under 12 and above play for competition points, with a mixture of one-day and two-day games. All games are played on a Saturday morning except Under 14 games between October and December are played on a Saturday afternoon. There is a strong emphasis on a fair go.


All Players:

Due to COVID-19, The Lakes Cricket Club requests players supply their own bats, pads, gloves, helmets and cricket protector. It is also compulsory (Cricket Australia Policy) for each batsman to wear a helmet. All players are expected to wear long white cricket pants, the club shirt (long sleeve from 2019/20 season onward is preferred) and a floppy brimmed hat while fielding and sunscreen.

Should a player leave the club prior to the season ending, TLCC will retrospectively withhold all or part of the fees paid to compensate for any ancillary costs already outlaid e.g. BNJCA Registration costs, Insurance, Team photograph, trophies, etc.Players who register for post Christmas season will be charged a reduced Registration fee.Sibling discount is available for all registrations except Junior Blasters.
